The Brooklyn Bridge Park Conservancy hosted a “snow sculpture” contest on Saturday (2/15). Up for grabs for the best effort were various gift cards and ski passes to contestants in the “adult” and “family” categories. A trio of Park Slopers won the “adult” category with the Winchosters taking honors in the family group.
DNAinfo: John and Samantha Raffaele brought their 3-year old daughter, Nancy, to partake in the snow-filled festivities. Nancy was busy at work constructing a snowman, which she named Olaf, after the friendly, bumbling character in the Disney film, Frozen.
“She loves the snow,” said Samantha Raffaele of her daughter, Nancy. “School keeps getting cancelled and it can get boring. All this snow reminds of me when I was growing up and there was always a lot of snow in the winters.”
