R Train Service To Be Restored This Friday

According to the Daily News, the MTA has announced that service on the R line between Brooklyn and Manhattan will resume this Friday, December 21 (unless, of course, the world ends first). We have no time yet for the service to begin, but presume it will be running in time for the morning rush. We’ll let you know as soon as we can.

    I’ve been checking the MTA website periodically; it still says no service between Brooklyn and Manhattan “until further notice.” Nevertheless, I have no reason to doubt the Daily News story, which quotes the MTA’s SVP in charge of subways as its source for the announcement.
