The DUMBO Arts Festival will be this coming weekend, with events beginning on Friday, September 28 and going through Sunday, September 30. The Festival will feature outdoor and indoor visual art installations and exhibitions, digital art and large scale projections, visiting artists in their studios or making murals on the street, musicians, dancers, poets, performance and circus artists throughout the neighborhood, on street corners, and in the part of Brooklyn Bridge Park between the Brooklyn and Manhattan bridges.
Many artists will be opening their studios for visits on Saturday and Sunday. Among these will be painter and Brooklyn Heights resident Mark Crawford, whose studio is at 68 Jay Street, room 813B. An image of one of Mark’s recent works, which display great energy and vibrancy, is at left. He will be in his studio from about 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. Saturday, and 2:30 to 4:30 p.m. Sunday.
You may find more information at the Festival’s website; it promises to be an enjoyable and enlightening experience.
