Area Man Interviewed About New Penalties for Passing School Buses

Brooklyn Heights resident Karl Junkersfeld weighs in on the problem of motorists passing school buses while loading and unloading in a News 12 Brooklyn report.  According to the outlet “lawmakers” are considering stiffer penalties for offenders.  Watch the video here.

    These offenders have no excuses. Suspend their driver’s licenses for six months for the first offense. One year suspension for a second offense and 30 days in jail for any subsequent offenses. Our children’s safety is serious business.
