Weekend Subway Diversions

The only diversion directly affecting service to a station in the Brooklyn Heights area is that Brooklyn bound R trains will be re-routed over the Manhattan Bridge and therefore will not be serving Court Street Station from 6:30 a.m. to midnight on both Saturday and Sunday. Manhattan bound R trains will be running as normal at Court Street, but will be skipping Whitehall Street, the first stop in Manhattan, from 11 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Sunday.

The 4 and 5 trains will be bypassing the Fulton Street Station in Manhattan from 1:00 a.m. Saturday until 5:00 a.m. Monday. Brooklyn bound A and C trains will not be stopping at the 50th Street, 23rd Street, or Spring Street stations from 11 p.m. Friday until 5:00 a.m. Monday. Uptown A trains will run express from 59th Street to 125th Street from 11 p.m. Friday to 6:00 a.m. Saturday, 11 p.m. Saturday to 7:00 a.m. Sunday, and 11 p.m. Sunday to 5:00 a.m. Monday. There is no C train service at these hours, so to reach the intervening stations at 72nd, 81st, 86th, 96th, 103rd, 110th, and 116th streets, you’ll have to take the A to 125th and catch a Brooklyn bound train back to the desired station. A better choice might be to take a 2 or 3 train to 72nd or 96th, and switch to a 1 local at 72nd for 81st or 86th, or at 96th for stations further uptown.
