New York Post: Tot Hurt in DWI: A drunken driver slammed his SUV into a building in Brooklyn yesterday, seriously injuring a toddler who was in the vehicle, police said.
Efrain Chiclana, 22, of The Bronx exited the eastbound Brooklyn-Queens Expressway at Atlantic Avenue at around 4 a.m., struck a "Do Not Enter" sign, dragging it under his Ford Excursion, and then crashed into the front window of the unoccupied Atlantic Peritoneal Dialysis Home Training Center at 61 Atlantic Ave. in Brooklyn Heights, police said.
His passengers included a woman, also 22, and a 2-year-old boy. The child was taken to Long Island College Hospital with serious injuries. The woman was not injured.
