This weekend — late Friday evening, October 20 to early Monday morning, October 23 — there will be no A trains running between Euclid Avenue, Brooklyn, and Lefferts Boulevard/Howard Beach-JFK Airport. To get to or from JFK you will need to take a shuttle bus between these stations. You may be better off taking a cab. Also, there will be no Brooklyn bound C train service at High Street, as Brooklyn bound C trains will be re-routed to the F line between 34th Street-Herald Square and Jay Street-MetroTech. Brooklyn bound A trains should be running normally to High Street and into Brooklyn as far as Utica Avenue.
The following work week — Monday, October 23 through Friday, October 27 — late nights Monday to Tuesday through Thursday to Friday there will be no A train service between Euclid Avenue, Brooklyn, and Lefferts Boulevard/Howard Beach-JFK Airport. To get to or from JFK use the J train between Sutphin Boulevard-Archer Avenue/JFK and Broadway Junction, where you may transfer to or from the A train. The A/J transfer is not available during the weekend, because J train service will be suspended over the relevant portion of the route during the weekend. Late nights Monday to Tuesday through Wednesday to Thursday there will be no Brooklyn bound service at York Street in DUMBO, but extra Brooklyn bound service at High Street, as F trains will be re-routed to the A/C line between West 4th Street-Washington Square and Jay Street-MetroTech. Late nights Monday to Tuesday through Thursday to Friday there will be no Manhattan bound N service at Court Street or at the N/R platforms at Jay Street-MetroTech, as Brooklyn bound N trains will be re-routed to the Q line between Canal Street and DeKalb Avenue. However, R trains should be running normally in both directions.
