Subway Service Alerts: Brooklyn Heights and Nearby

This weekend — late Friday evening, September 15 to early Monday morning, Setember 18, there will be no Manhattan bound service at Court Street or at the N/R platforms at Jay Street-MetroTech, as Manhattan bound N and R trains are both being re-routed to the Q line between DeKalb Avenue in Brooklyn and Canal Street in Manhattan. For those planning to use the “train to [or from] the plane,” be aware that your trip on the A line will be interrupted between Euclid Avenue, Brooklyn and Lefferts Blvd/Howard Beach-JFK Airport (where you transfer to or from the AirTrain), with shuttle busses providing service between.

The following work week — Early Monday morning, September 18 to late Friday evening, September 22, late nights Monday to Tuesday through Thursday to Friday, there will be no Brooklyn bound service at York Street in DUMBO as Brooklyn bound F trains will be re-routed to the A/C line between West 4th Street-Washington Square in Manhattan and Jay Street-MetroTech in Brooklyn. This will mean extra Brooklyn bound service at High Street. Late nights there will be service in both directions at Court Street and at the N/R platforms at Jay Street-MetroTech. R trains will not be running in either direction, but Brooklyn bound N trains should be running normally, and Manhattan bound Q trains will replace Manhattan bound N trains.

Always check MTA Info for last minute changes in planned service or unplanned service changes that may affect local service or service on other parts of your trip, or for planned service changes that affect stations to or from which you may be traveling.
