The Repast Baroque Ensemble returns to Brooklyn Heights this coming Saturday afternoon, March 11 with “Through the Labyrinth.”
The Repast core ensemble and guest violinists present music from the High Baroque with the theme of a labyrinth, or a journey. This thrilling program includes famous “Labyrinth” works by Locatelli (for violin) and Marais (for viola da gamba), as well as Couperin’s portrayal of Corelli’s journey to Parnassus, Corrette’s meditation on solitude for bassoon, and a virtuosic programmatic keyboard solo by Forqueray.
The concert will take place in the McKinney Chapel of the First Unitarian Church, 121 Pierrepont Street (between Monroe Place and Clinton Street) starting at 3:00 PM. Tickets are $30 general admission, $20 seniors, and $10 students. You may purchase or reserve them here or pay by cash, check, or card at the door.
