Subway Service Alerts: Brooklyn Heights and Nearby

This New Year’s weekend and the following work week: Friday evening, December 30 through Friday evening, January 5, there are no planned route changes or cancellations directly affecting service at any local stations. Those planning to join the festivities at Times Square should know that the Times Square-42nd Street street exits for the 1, 2, 3, 7, N. Q. and R lines will be closed on Saturday until midnight. Those exiting these trains at 42nd Street will have to take pedestrian passages to $2nd Street-Port Authority Bus Terminal (8th Avenue) or 42nd Street-Bryant Park (6th Avenue). The passageway to the Port Authority-8th Avenue exit has ramps that are not ADA compliant. For a list of nearby ADA compliant stations, see here. Also, N, R, and Q trains will not be stopping at 49th Street in either direction.

Always check MTA Info for unplanned service changes that may affect local service or service on other parts of your trip, or for planned service changes that affect stations to or from which you may be traveling.
