Open Streets Montague, sponsored by Montague Street BID and the Brooklyn Heights Association, returns this Saturday, August 6 from noon to 7:00 PM. All parked cars must be moved from Montague before then; an emergency lane will be open during the event. There will be music, games and activities for kids. From 1:00 to 2:00 PM the Grace Chorale of Brooklyn will present a concert between Henry and Hicks streets. Starting at 6:30 PM the Brooklyn Poets will host a reading in front of their store at 144 Montague. Starting at 4:00 PM you can get free compost! There’s a schedule of activities here.
The next Open Streets Montague will be on Saturday, August 20; they will continue through September.
