Promenade Tree Lighting Wednesday; Celebrate After at Brooklyn Women’s Exchange

The annual lighting of the tree at the Montague Street entrance to the Brooklyn Heights Promenade will be at 5:30 PM tomorrow, Wednesday, December 15. Carolers from the Grace Chorale of Brooklyn will be there to provide holiday spirit. Afterwards, the carolers will proceed to the Brooklyn Women’s Exchange, at 55 Pierrepont Street (between Hicks and Henry), where the Exchange will stay open until 7:00 PM and offer hot apple cider and cookies to go. They invite you to bring the whole family.

It’s been lit for a few days now…and the lights are white this year! #oldphoto

The official lighting ceremony is this evening. Yes, it’s an old photo. I couldn’t, in my current condition, hobble over to my window to get a new one.

Got it. I assume they’ll unplug it and plug it back in again tonight. :-)

Years ago I fractured my ankle when I stumbled in midtown. Didn’t know I’d done damage, only knew it hurt for 3 weeks until I went to my podiatrist!

Yes, walked on it for all that time just thinking it was a sprain.

    Get well soon, Claude!

(And I missed the ceremony; I was in DC all last week.)
