The MTA is undertaking major repair work to subway tunnels in Brooklyn. They will be on the 4/5 lines between Borough Hall and Manhattan – these are the only repairs that will directly affect service at a local station (4/5 at Borough Hall) – and on the 2/3/4/5 tunnels between Atlantic and Franklin avenues, which will affect some of those traveling to or from the interior of Brooklyn. The repairs will take place over a course of 64 weekends during a period of 33 months, which means there will be repair work on only about half the weekends during those months. On only 40 of these weekends will there be work on the 4/5 tunnels between Borough Hall and Manhattan, which means no service to or from Brooklyn on the 4 line at Borough Hall (the 5 train does not serve Brooklyn on weekends). Service on the 2/3 line will continue as normal during these weekends. On the remaining 24 weekends there will be service changes on the 2/3/4/5 lines between Atlantic and Franklin avenues. There’s more information on the MTA website here, and week by week information is available here.
