This Sunday, February 9, from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., the Brooklyn Women’s Exchange, 55 Pierrepont Street (between Hicks and Henry) will present a Valentine’s Day craft event for kids:
We’ll be making quilled designs for Valentines Day. Also known as paper filigree, quilling is a technique that turns rolled paper into intricate patterns and designs. Come to the BWE to learn this art form popular since the Italian Renaissance!
There are photos of quilled paper designs here.
This event is best for children six and up, who must be accompanied by a caregiver. There is a suggestd family donation of $5.00.
