New Restaurant, Cloverhill, Opens on Columbia Place

Your correspondent took a stroll through Willowtown yesterday, and got this photo of Cloverhill, the new restaurant that has recently opened at 20 Columbia Place, the space previously occupied by Iris Cafe. I examined the two menus in the window, which were limited to breakfast, lunch and brunch. I went in the door, and was greeted cordially by a man. I asked if there was a dinner menu. He said there wasn’t yet; they wouldn’t be serving dinner until January 28.  Their breakfast, lunch, and brunch offerings seemed intriguing; you may see the menus on their website here.

Breakfast is available from 8:00 a.m. weekdays and 9:00 a.m. weekends until 3:00 p.m. Lunch items are also on the breakfast menu. Brunch is from 11:00 a.m to 3:00 p.m. everyday. Your correspondent will visit, sample their offerings, and report soon.

    I’ve walked by there early in the morning (before sunrise) and there’s already a chef in the back getting ready. Looks like they’ve fancied up the space somewhat from the Iris Cafe. I hope they can get the neighborhood’s attention and do well there.

    Wasn’t there a restaurant by the same name in Cobble Hill a while back. Wonder if there is any affiliation?

    No, it was on Court Street near Sackett, back in the 90’s, maybe early 2k’s

    Also wrong. It was on Montague on the north side of the street between Clinton and Henry. Ginny Hoyt was the owner. It was the last “fine” restaurant on Montague.

    Yes! where Bon Gusto was? But I think that closed late 80’s early 90’s? Perhaps they moved to the Court street location, I’m pretty certain there was a restaurant there by that name.
