This weekend, from about 12:01 a.m. Saturday, December 28 to about 5:00 a.m. Monday, December 30 there will be no 3 train service running in either direction, but 2 trains should be running normally, so there will be service at Clark Street and at Borough Hall. For those traveling into Brooklyn, 4 trains will be making all 3 stops between Franklin and New Lots avenues.
From about 11:30 p.m. Friday, December 27 to about 5:00 a.m. Monday, December 30 there will be no Brooklyn bound service at the LES stops on the F line, or at York Street in DUMBO, as F trains will be diverted to the A/C line between West 4th Street and Jay Street-MetroTech. To get to Brooklyn from the LES F stations, take a Manhattan bound F to West 4th and change there for a Brooklyn bound A, C. or F.
As it has been for the past few weekends, there will be extra Brooklyn bound service at Court and Jay streets, as Brooklyn bound N trains will be running on the R line from Canal street to Atlantic Avenue-Barclays Center and Q trains will be running on the R from Canal Street to DeKalb Avenue.
The following work/New Year’s week there are no planned (as always we stress planned) service changes directly affecting service at any local stations. Keep in mind that, on New Year’s Eve and early morning, exits from 2, 3, N, and R trains at Times Square may be closed due to crowding.
These are the PLANNED service changes for the coming weekend and following work week that directly affect service at local stations. If you’re planning to take a train not affected by these planned changes, we urge you to first check MTA Info to see if there are any unplanned service disruptions. Also, always check MTA Info for planned or unplanned changes that may affect your trip on other parts of the system.
