Bargemusic’s weekend begins on Friday evening, July 19 at 7:00, when violinist Daniel Kurganov and pianist Constantine Finehouse present “Homage to a Golden Age,” a concert featuring works by Bloch, Chausson, Tchaikovsky, Rachmaninoff, Franck, “and encore works composed/arranged by Kreisler, Heifetz, et al.”
On Saturday evening, July 20 at 6:00, and again at 8:00, members of the Semplice Players, joined by violinist Mark Peskanov, will play works by Haydn and Mozart.
On Sunday afternoon, July 21 at 4:00, the Fine Arts Quartet (photo) will perform works by Haydn, Rachmaninoff, and Beethoven.
On Saturday afternoon at 4:00 there will be a free, family oriented “Music in Motion” concert, details here. Doors open at 3:45; first come, first seated.
There will be no concerts, and no “Music in Motion,” the weekend of Friday, July 26 through Sunday, July 28. Concerts will resume beginning Friday, August 2.
