Last week we posted about a party this coming Saturday, June 15 from noon to 3:00 p.m. at the Poplar Street Community Garden, located at the northwest corner of Poplar and Hicks streets. What we didn’t know at the time was that this year marks the Garden’s 25th anniversary. The photo above shows it in 2010. The photo above shows what it looked like in 1983, before the gardeners went to work. Note the “Wrong Way” sign in both photos.
