Bargemusic’s weekend begins Friday evening, May 3 at 7:00, with Mark Peskanov on violin, Rose Hashimoto (photo, by David Ordovsky) on viola, and Sean Hawthorne on cello, doing works by Schubert, Bach, and Beethoven. On Saturday evening, May 4 at 6:00, pianists Rita Sloan and Jonathan Feldman will present “Shall We (Mostly) Dance?” featuring works by Bernstein, Barber, Montsalvage, Moskowski, and Rachmaninoff. On Sunday afternoon, May 5 at 4:00, pianist Marika Bournaki will play the fifth in her series of concerts presenting the complete 32 piano sonatas of Beethoven.
On Saturday afternoon at 4:00 there will be a free, family oriented “Music in Motion” concert, details here. Doors open at 3:45; first come, first seated.
