Bargemusic’s weekend begins early this week, with a concert tomorrow evening, Thursday, April 11 at 7:00, celebrating the 80th birthday of composer Andrew Rudin (photo). On Friday evening, April 12 at 7:00 pianist Gleb Ivanov will begin a series in which he will play the complete piano sonatas of Prokofiev. On Saturday evening, April 13 at 6:00, and again on Sunday afternoon, April 14 at 4:00, the Semplice Players, joined by guest violinist Mark Peskanov, will perform works by J.S. Bach and by Mendelssohn.
On Saturday afternoon at 4:00 there will be a free, family oriented “Music in Motion” concert, details here. Doors open at 3:45; first come, first seated.
