The Repast Baroque Ensemble returns to Brooklyn Heights, and to the McKinney Chapel of the First Unitarian Church, 116 Pierrepont Street, this coming Thursday evening, March 14, starting at 8:00. They will present “Wanderlust,” a program of music that “explores the German enthrallment with nature and escapism, from the Baroque and Romantic periods.”
The concert will include works by Buxtehude, Bernhard, Spohr, Schubert, and Mendelssohn. In addition to Repast members Amelia Roosevelt (violin), Katie Reitman (cello), and Gabe Shuford (harpsichord) (see musician bios here), this concert will feature soprano Nell Snaidas and Arash Noori on theorbo and guitar.
