Brigate Bocce was hoping to even its record at 2 – 2 today in a match versus their Fall 2006 playoff rivals the Mamalukes. But despite a promising first round the Brigates lost in two straight sets 7 -5 , 7 -2.
Brigate capo Homer Fink told reporters as he ran home to eat a big dish of Mrs. Fink's Sunday Sauce, "Abbiamo giocato bene, noi abbiamo giocato male. È una stagione lunga e ci riprenderemo. Prometto di non radere la mia testa come Britney Spears."
When asked what his plans for Brigate Bocce are for the long term, Fink would only say, "Sto progettando al campo una squadra di esseri umani eccellenti Italiani."
