Bargemusic’s weekend begins Friday evening, August 3 at 8:00 when pianist Soyeon Kate Lee (photo) plays works by Chopin, Scarlatti, Janacek, Villa-Lobos, and Granados. On Saturday evening, August 4 at 6:00 and again at 8:00, violinist Mark Peskanov and pianist Olga Vinokur will play works by Beethoven and Schubert. On Sunday afternoon, August 5 at 4:00, cellist Jeffrey Solow will perform the first of two concerts presenting the six cello suites by J.S. Bach, with commentaries. On Saturday afternoon at 4:00 there will be a free, family oriented “Music in Motion” concert, details here. Doors open at 3:45; first come, first seated.
