Bargemusic’s weekend begins Friday evening, June 22 at 8:00 PM, with pianist Olga Vinokur (photo) playing works by Lukas Foss, Copland/Bernstein, Bernstein, and Gershwin, as part of the celebration of Leonard Bernstein’s centennial. On Saturday evening, June 23 at 6:00 and again on Sunday afternoon, June 24 at 4:00, the Manhattan Symphonie Chamber Players, with Mark Peskanov on violin, will perform works by Bach and Mendelssohn. On Saturday afternoon at 4:00 there will be a free, family oriented “Music in Motion” concert, co-sponsored by the Brooklyn Bridge Park Conservancy. Doors open at 3:45; first come, first seated.
