The star of this weekend at Bargemusic is violinist and violist Vera Vaidman (photo, by Pri-Or, Tel Aviv). On Friday evening, March 16 at 8:00 she will present J.S. Bach’s Complete Works for Unaccompanied Bowed Instruments, Part I. Part II will be performed on Sunday afternoon. March 18, at 4:00.
Ah, but Saturday, March 17 is St. Patrick’s Day! Have no fear. That evening at 6:00 Ms. Vaidman will join with her husband, pianist Emanuel Krasovsky, to play works by the Irish composers Howard Ferguson, Charles Stanford, and John Field. There are details for each concert and you may buy tickets here.
On Saturday afternoon at 4:00 there will be a free, family oriented “Music in Motion” concert, co-sponsored by the Brooklyn Bridge Park Conservancy. Doors open at 3:45; first come, first seated.
