Bargemusic’s weekend begins at 8:00 on Friday evening, August 4 with cellist Julian Schwarz (photo) playing works by Boccherini, Poulenc, Schwarz, Brahms, Liebermann, and Saint-Saens.
On Saturday evening, August 5 at 8:00 violinist Mark Peskanov and pianist Jeffrey Swann will perform the third of their “Tale of Two Titans” series of concerts presenting the complete Beethoven and Handel sonatas for violin and piano.
Pianist Philip Edward Fisher is performing all 32 of Beethoven’s piano sonatas in a series of concerts, each of which will include three sonatas. On Sunday afternoon, August 6 at 2:00 and again at 4:00 he will play the sixth in this series of concerts (the same sonatas will be played at both performances).
There are details for each concert and you may buy tickets here. On Saturday afternoon at 4:00 there will be a free, family oriented “Music in Motion” concert, co-sponsored by the Brooklyn Bridge Park Conservancy. Doors open at 3:45; first come, first seated.
