On Friday evening, June 16 at 8:00 Bargemusic will start the weekend with a concert of music by the American composer Lewis Spratlan (photo), played by Elizabeth Chang on violin, Nardo Poy on viola, Julia Lichten on cello, Romie de Guise-Langlois on clarinet, and Alissa Leiser on piano.
On Saturday evening, June 17 at 8:00, clarinetist Alexander Fiterstein, cellist Nicholas Canellakis, and pianist Michael Brown will perform works by Beethoven, Stutchevsky, and Brahms.
On Sunday afternoon, June 18, there will be two concerts, one at 2:00 and one at 4:00, both in a series presenting all of Beethoven’s piano sonatas. These will be played by Philip Edward Fisher.
There are details for each concert and you may buy tickets here. On Saturday afternoon at 4:00 there will be a free, family oriented “Music in Motion” concert, co-sponsored by the Brooklyn Bridge Park Conservancy. Doors open at 3:45; first come, first seated.
