“Area” Woman Arrested for Shoplifting

As reported by DNA Info, the woman who owns the chain of children’s stores Area Kids (located in our fair neighborhood on Montague Street, was arrested last month along with a partner for stealing more than $1,000 of merchandise from the Whole Foods in Gowanus.

    I REALLY hope they can find a location still in the neighborhood but I doubt it honestly. It was so convenient for donating books/clothes/etc.

    You’d think the old Starbucks location landlord would donate access to her space to Housing Works just to get a write off until they choose to rent it. Insane!
