Heather Wolf, author of Birding at the Bridge, will lead a Bird Walk in Brooklyn Bridge Park this Sunday, February 5. The walk begins at 9:00 a.m. at the entrance to Pier 1, near the foot of Old Fulton Street. According to Ms. Wolf:
Buffleheads [photo] are now being seen near Pier 4 beach and the Pier 1 pilings.
A pair of of Red-breasted Mergansers were courting the other day near Pier 5.Join me as we look for beautiful winter ducks, geese, gulls, sparrows and more.
