This Friday evening, September 23 at 8:00, Bargemusic will present the composer and musician Don Byron on clarinet, along with Cornelius Dufallo on violin, Wendy Sutter on cello, and Blair McMillen on piano, playing works by Mr. Byron and by Olivier Messiaen. On Saturday evening, September 24 at 8:00, violinist Mark Peskanov, cellist Thomas Mesa, and pianist Alexandra Joan will perform works by Beethoven, Schumann, and Mendelssohn. On Sunday afternoon, September 25 at 4:00 there will be a celebration of the great 20th century Russian composer Dmitri Shostakovich, some of whose works will be performed by Ilya Gringolts on violin, Dmitry Kouzov on cello, and Gilles Vonsattel on piano. Saturday afternoon at 4:00 there will be a free, family oriented “Music in Motion” concert, co-sponsored by the Brooklyn Bridge Park Conservancy. Doors open at 3:45; first come, first seated.
