Bargemusic’s usual Friday evening concert has been cancelled and will be rescheduled for anther time. On Saturday evening, September 10 at 8:00 the Amernet String Quartet, along with clarinetist Alexander Fiterstein, will perform works by Beethoven, Lev Zhurbin, and Brahms. On Sunday afternoon, September 11 at 4:00 there will be a special 9/11 memorial concert featuring members of the String Orchestra of Brooklyn under the direction of Eli Spindel, doing music by by Bach, Barber, Beethoven, Bottoms, Mozart, and Schlefer. Admission to this special concert is free, and there is no reserved seating. Doors will open at 3:30. There are details for each concert and you may buy tickets here.
Saturday afternoon at 4:00 there will be a free, family oriented “Music in Motion” concert, co-sponsored by the Brooklyn Bridge Park Conservancy. Doors open at 3:45; first come, first seated.
