Brooklyn Bridge Park Presents “The Awesome Oyster” Wednesday Evening

Someone once said, “It was a brave person who ate the first oyster”, or something like that. No oysters will be eaten at “The Awesome Oyster”, this week’s adventure in Brooklyn Bridge Park’s series of Wednesday Night Tours, but Isa Del Bello, the Brooklyn Bridge Park Conservancy’s Director of Education, will tell you about the history of the eastern oyster in New York Harbor, and show you the park’s oyster gardens, as well as “other critters that live in the East River”. The tour starts at the Pier 5 Playground at 6:30 p.m. and goes until 7:30. Tickets are $10, or $5 for Conservancy members. More information and buy tickets here.
