This coming Monday evening, January 11, starting at 7:00, Martha Cardona Opera will present Jules Massenet’s opera Werther at the First Unitarian Church, corner of Monroe Place and Pierrepont Street. The title role will be sung by tenor Alex Richardson, who has sung with the Metropolitan Opera and the Washington National Opera, and whose performance as Turiddu in Cavalleria Rusticana at St. Ann and the Holy Trinity in November of 2014 was superb. Tickets are $25, or $20 for singers, students, and seniors; pay cash at the door. There’s more information here.
