This weekend the Heights Players premiere their production of Lanford Wilson’s The Hot L Baltimore. Performances are Friday, November 6 and Saturday, November 7 at 8:00 p.m. and Sunday, November 8 at 2:00 p.m. at the playhouse, 26 Willow Place (between Joralemon and State streets). This is part of the Heights Players’ diamond anniversary season. Make reservations here.
On Friday evening at 8:00 Bargemusic will present a “Bargemix” concert, “Mostly Other People Do the Killing”, featuring a mix of trumpet, saxophone, trombone, banjo, piano, bass, and drums. On Saturday evening at 8:00 and Sunday afternoon at 4:00, the Manhattan Symphonie, under the direction of Gregory Singer, will perform works by Mozart, Mendelssohn, and Beethoven. Saturday afternoon at 4:00 there will be a free, family oriented “Music in Motion” concert, co-sponsored by the Brooklyn Bridge Park Conservancy. Doors open at 3:45; first come, first seated.
