Drone Spotted Outside Eagle Offices

According to Gothamist, the office manager and other employees of EBrooklyn Media, publishers of the Brooklyn Daily Eagle and Brooklyn Heights Press, were surprised to see a drone (not the one in the photo, but similar) hovering near their 30th floor office windows at 16 Court Street, at the corner of Montague, on Thursday. The manager at first thought it a toy, then noticed its camera. It turns out, though, that the drone wasn’t trying to steal a scoop; it was being flown by a “real estate architect” who is working on the design of a new building to replace 189 Montague, which, as we earlier reported, is slated for demolition. The architect was using the drone in connection with design work.

The Gothamist piece reports that the architect was given a criminal summons for violation of a law governing “aviation in and over the city,” and the drone was confiscated.

I saw the drone, walking down Montague to Court. It seemed too small to get picture. Looked like a 4 helicopter drone. I figured it was taking pictures rather than targeting hellfire missiles.

Whoever was at the controls was a terrible person! Only federal agencies and now police departments should be peering in windows without a warrent! On the other hand, it may be the remaining supporters of another terrible person on Monroe seeking to even the score with Dozier.

Anyway, taking liberties with the words of the great Billy Lee Reilly: “well the news is, the…drones…been flying around. I’m the only one seen it on the ground” (B.L. Reilly was a ‘leading authority’ mid century on aerial phenomena who in his personal life first worshipped then came to detest the Sun)…. All in fun…except the first sentence…

At this point, there seems to be no way to track the growing number of little drones over NYC. This is a bad situation, to say the least. Recently, while walking down Court Street, I passed two separate individuals carrying drones. Reports by airline pilots of near-misses with drones should be a wake-up call for officials. Non-officials are already awake and awaiting the arrival of smart official consciousness that would protect city inhabitants.

Another thing about casino people is their general lack of normal humor.

…. Then, Willow Street Watch turnd to to the salesman and said “so when I drive by, everyone can point at me and say; look at that S-Car-Go”

And of course, none of these hobby drones has a small transponders or powered/ACTIVE RFID factory installed, for ID, that they NEVER advise purchasers is on board….sure

But again, why shouldn’t everyone be able to conduct warrantless searches and surveillance…..

Wait, what’s that ma? There a man on the phone from the local THREAT FUSION CENTER and they are getting increasingly annoyed at my posts? Imagine that…..
