On Friday evening, March 27 at 8:00 Bargemusic will present pianist Soyeon Kate Lee (photo) playing works by Scarlatti, Brahms, Scriabin, Janácek, Debussy, and Ravel. On Saturday evening, March 28 at 8:00 and on Sunday afternoon, March 29 at 4:00 Ms. Lee will be joined by Bargemusic’s artistic director Mark Peskanov on violin to perform works by Schubert and Mozart. There’s more information and buy tickets here. Saturday afternoon at 4:00 there will be a free, family oriented “Music in Motion” concert, co-sponsored by the Brooklyn Bridge Park Conservancy. Doors open at 3:45; first come, first seated.
On Sunday afternoon at 3:00 the Brooklyn Historical Society completes its celebration of Women’s History Month with a screening of Su Freidrich’s film Gut Renovation, a documentary about the gentrification of Williamsburg. The film is being screened each Sunday in March at the same time. Admission is free with museum admission (free for BHS or Green-Wood Cemetery members).
