Snowmageddon 2015: Brooklyn Heights Braces for Record Storm

Welp, it looks like Brooklyn Heights and its surrounding area is about to experience a RECORD SETTING blizzard this week. Back in the 80s, when your humble publisher hosted an under-rated morning show in the middle of nowhere (now sorta somewhere), our weather dude would say “WE’RE GOING TO GET CLOCKED THIS WEEKEND BY SNOW.” Yes indeed, this seems to be the case.

Update: City schools are open tomorrow, and Regents testing will be given on schedule, but all after school activities for Monday are cancelled. No word yet on Tuesday. Schools are closed Tuesday (no surprise).

Update: Garbage pickup suspended indefinitely.

Your governor and mayor look like real fools now. It was clear well before all the “shutdowns” that the storm wouldn’t be as bad.

When I read a whole string of comments like this one in my combined RSS feed for all the Brooklyn Heights Blog stories, with commenter ID’s omitted as they are, it’s like mainlining a Rainbow Butterfly Unicorn Kitten Milkshake with sprinkles.
