Squadron to Host Town Hall on “Making Albany Work for Our Neighborhoods”

State Senator Daniel Squadron will host a Town Hall Meeting next Thursday, December 11, starting at 6:30 p.m. in the Forchelli Conference Center at the Brooklyn Law School, 205 State Street, 22nd floor (between Court Street and Boerum Place). The meeting’s topic will be “Reforming the State: Making Albany Work for Our Neighborhoods.” I never knew what an absurd stranglehold Albany has on what are local issues that should be decided locally until several years ago, when a there was a campaign to put a red light camera where traffic from Atlantic Avenue crosses to enter the LIE, in order to protect pedestrians going to Brooklyn Bridge Park. The word was that the City had reached a quota, imposed by Albany, on such cameras.

All are invited to this free event. If you plan to attend, please RSVP here.

well.. so how are we going to solve the ps 8 overcrowding. There is just one way out of this. Build a school on the library site and refurbish the library there…. Daniel what is your plan.. you mentioned they built a school in the manhattan side of your district.
Do you have an alternate suggestion for a school site??. We need a school much more than more high priced condos

There are no funds in the five-year capital plan for a new school in this area so finding a site may be the least of your problems.
