Jonathan Ames, Randy Cohen at Brooklyn Historical Society Wedesday

Jonathan Ames (photo, right), writer — Wake Up Sir!, The Extra Man (adapted as a movie with Kevin Kline and Katie Holmes), The Double Life is Twice as Good, and others — raconteur, creator of the HBO series Bored to Death, promoter of the World’s Most Phallic Building contest (in his opinion, the Williamsburgh Bank Building), and Brooklyn resident will be at the Brooklyn Historical Society this coming Wednesday evening, July 23, starting at 6:30 as a guest of Emmy winning writer Randy Cohen (photo, left), who will interview Ames as part of his podcast and radio show Person, Place, Thing.
