This coming Saturday, June 21 is the date of the summer solstice, and to celebrate, the gardeners of Poplar Street Community Garden, northwest corner of Poplar and Hicks streets, have invited all to their Fourth Annual Summer Solstice Garden Party. From the gardeners:
Please join us this coming Saturday for our annual celebration of the Garden! Bring friends and family too – to enjoy the Garden, the music, the food, and the people, to see what’s growing and talk gardening talk with us, to learn about our bees from our beekeepers, and to inaugurate our newly built compost bins!
The party goes from noon to 3:00 p.m. There will be refreshments and live music, and it’s all free!
