News 12 Brooklyn reports on a fun day for kids at the BHS yesterday celebrating the Brooklyn Dodgers:
News 12 Brooklyn: About 25 kids packed the event in Brooklyn Heights that was hosted by the Brooklyn Historical Society for some handmade history. The youths started with silk screens, then added their own logos and designs, and placed it over a T-shirt to make their special jerseys.
The Brooklyn Historical Society says the event was part of an effort to use fun activities that get kids interested in history. Before making the jerseys, the kids were taken on a full tour of a Dodger exhibit where they got to see the team’s original home plate and an authentic jersey.
