Subway Service Alerts: Brooklyn Heights and Vicinity

This coming weekend (Friday evening, December 13 to Monday morning, December 16) there are no planned cancellations, route diversions, or station skips that directly affect service at any local stations. The following week, from 11:45 p.m. until 5:00 a.m. Monday to Wednesday, Brooklyn bound F trains will be diverted to the A line from West 4th Street in Manhattan to Jay Street-Metro Tech in Brooklyn. This means no service from Manhattan to York Street in DUMBO, so DUMBO and nearby residents can either get off at High Street and walk down the hill, or ride to Jay and catch a Manhattan bound F back to York. Those coming to Brooklyn from the Lower East Side can catch a Manhattan bound F to West 4th and change to a Brooklyn bound train there. Also, from 11:30 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. Monday to Friday, there will be no A trains running in either direction between Jay Street and Utica Avenue. Shuttle buses will provide alternative service, making all stops between these stations. A service will continue between Utica and Lefferts or Mott avenues.

For planned service changes that may affect travel on other parts of the system, see MTA Info or The Weekender.
