Housing Works Coming to Montague Street

newhome_r1_c1.gifThe NY Daily News reports that the non-profit Housing Works will open a store in the Fishs Eddy location on Montague Street.

NY Daily News: The Fish is Swimming Away into the Net: …But the space won't be empty long. Housing Works, a nonprofit agency that fights homelessness and AIDS, will take over the lease and sell clothes, books, furniture and antiques starting in late January. "It's our first foray into Brooklyn, and it was our top [choice] neighborhood in Brooklyn when we were looking," said Matthew Bernardo, president of Housing Works Thrift Stores.

    AWESOME. Housing Works does good things, and judging by their manhattan stores, usually has interesting junk for sale.
