Brooklyn Women’s Exchange Holiday Preview Party Thursday Evening

The Brooklyn Women’s Exchange, 55 Pierrepont Street (between Henry and Hicks) will have a Holiday Preview Party this Thursday evening, November 7, from 6:00 to 8:00. All are welcome to see the Exchange’s collection of holiday goods, talk with the staff, and enjoy refreshments.

On Friday, November 8 (11:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.), Saturday, November 9 (10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.), and Sunday, November 10 (10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.) silhouette artist Deborah O’Connor will be performing her scissors magic at the Exchange. To make an appointment, please call (718) 624-3435.

Looking ahead to Sunday, November 17, local artist Sarah Kate Beaumont will teach a class in rag-rug weaving at the Exchange from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. This is an ideal class for children eight and up, but younger ones may come with a supervising adult. There’s a $10 fee, and you should bring a laundered sheet for use in rug-making (but if you can’t spare one, there will be a few available at the Exchange).

The Women’s Exchange is the only gift shop in BH and we need to support it. They have added to their greeting card offerings in response to requests in the absence of our greatly missed Overtures.
