Last Saturday there was a gala benefit party for Theater 2020, Brooklyn Heights’ own professional stage company, at the Henry Street townhouse of Joe and Susan Broadwin. The theme of the party was “Gangsters and Molls”, and many guests showed up in appropriate attire (one wore his bathrobe, emulating the late Vincent “The Chin” Gigante). Entertaimnent was provided by Lorinda “Lulu” Lisitza and Jason “Bugsy” Wynn (photo above).
Heights residents David Fuller and Judith Jarosz (photo at right), Theater 2020’s Producing Artistic Directors, spoke about the Theater’s future plans. Two new productions will be staged early next year; we will report details as soon as they are available.
