CB2 Meeting Tomorrow Evening

Community Board 2 will hold its monthly Board meeting, which is open to the public, starting at 6:00pm tomorrow, Wednesday, February 11, at Polytechnic Institute, Pfizer Auditorium, 5 Metrotech Center. Items on the agenda include proposed traffic re-routings in downtown Brooklyn, and reports from committees on Economic Development and Job Creation; Health, Environment and Social Services; Parks and Recreation; and Youth, Education and Cultural Affairs. There will be an Open Session at which members of the public are invited to speak on any matters they think should come to the Board’s attention; to speak, you must first sign a speakers list, and speeches are limited to three minutes.

All of these meetings begin at 6:00pm:

Transportation and Public Safety: Tuesday, February 17, St. Francis College, First Floor Board Room, 180 Remsen Street.

Land Use: Wednesday, February 18, Polytechnic University, Dubner Library, Room LC400, 5 Metrotech Center.

Youth, Education and Cultural Affairs: Wednesday, February 25, Long Island University, Jonas Board Room, Flatbush and DeKalb Avenues.

Economic Development and Job Creation: Tuesday, March 3, Long Island University, Jonas Board Room, Flatbush and DeKalb Avenues.

Health, Environment and Social Services: Wednesday, March 4, Brooklyn Hospital, North Pavilion, Conference Rooms 3A and 3B, DeKalb Avenue at St. Felix Street.

In addition, CB2 will hold a public hearing on the preliminary City budget starting at 6:00pm on Monday, February 23, at Long Island University, Jonas Board Room, Flatbush and DeKalb Avenues.

The March Board meeting will be on Wednesday the 11th at Congregation Mount Sinai, 250 Cadman Plaza West, at 6:00pm.
