On Saturday, October 19th from 7:00-9:00 p.m., the First Presbyterian Church (124 Henry close to Clark) will be holding a fundraising auction. Up for grabs are goodies such as:
—one week at a private home on Martha’s Vineyard
—one week at a private home in East Hampton
—a pair tickets to the Daily Show with Jon Stewart
—Beats by Dre Headphones
—Flat screen TV
—BAM tickets
Free childcare is provided.
This fund-raiser allows the church to continue its good works throughout the year, including its food pantry. In 2012, more than 120 people were coming to the church for food each Thursday morning—and with shutdowns and debt ceilings, that number probably won’t drop anytime soon.
