Iris Cafe Celebrates 4th Anniversary with “Willowtown Bazaar” Saturday

This Saturday, September 28, from 2:00 to 6:00 p.m. Iris Cafe will celebrate its fourth anniversary with a “Willowtown Bazaar” on closed off Columbia Place. “In appreciation, come join us for food, drinks and games for all ages,” says the announcement flyer. The food, drinks, and games are all free.

    Have you been to the “bazaar” yet today? Obviously a private party (poorly) disguised as a free public block party. Not surprised – considering the source ( the Iris owners)…

    When I walked through this afternoon, I saw pony rides, and touchable goats, and outdoor tables (inside the ropes, as mentioned by Copldenizen), and someone grilling hot dogs and burgers. (For everyone? I had already eaten, so I can’t report back on what exactly was being offered to the Willowtown residents.) It did seem like a private private, or a kiddie fair.
