Update: We contacted Mr. Ronald Spear at Heights & Hill, who told us the funeral home will move to a new location and continue to serve the community. According to Brownstoner, the four story building at 115 Atlantic Avenue (photo), between Hicks and Henry streets, has been bought by Sivershore Properties, which plans to “renovate and reposition” it.
The property on Atlantic…is a four-story, 5,000-square-foot building with a duplex apartment, additional full-floor apartment and ground floor retail. It sold for $2,000,000, and was the first sale of the building in almost 40 years.
The “ground floor retail” is the Heights & Hill Funeral Home. There is no word on whether it will be part of the “repositioned” building. We will update as soon as possible.
