If you’re in town for the long weekend, there’s some stuff going on. On Friday evening at 8:00 Bargemusic will present composer, pianist, and thereminist Rob Schwimmer (photo) in a concert in the Bargemix Series, “The Wild World of Piano, Theremin, Continuum.” On Saturday evening at 8:00 and Sunday afternoon at 2:00 there will be Masterworks concerts featuring works by Mozart and Beethoven, performed by the Manhattan Symphonie. There will also be a free, family oriented Music in Motion concert Saturday afternoon at 3:00 (doors open at 2:30). More details, and buy tix here.

This weekend is your last chance to see the Heights Players’ production of A Chorus Line, with performances on Friday and Saturday evenings at 8:00 and Sunday afternoon at 2:00. Theater 2020’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream, which your correspondent can attest is well worth seeing, continues its run with an 8:00 performance Friday evening, and with two Saturday shows, at 4:00 and 8:00 p.m.
